A Firewood Ministry Project is assigned to the Firewood Lead by the Firewood Manager. The Firewood Lead is then responsible for managing the Project within the guidelines established, which includes completing a timely and professional Project Completion Form.
For Firewood collection from a donor, the Firewood Lead will consult the Firewood Manager to select and manage the Firewood Helpers.
The Firewood Lead is responsible for all communications with the Project Client. These communications should be facilitated by the Scheduling Coordinator.
On-site, the Firewood Lead will be the primary contact with the Project Client.
For Projects completed at the Woodlot, the Firewood Lead will be responsible for properly and safely running the Wood Splitter and maintaining the safety of all Firewood Helpers.
The Firewood Lead is expected to update Project information and log time (including, as needed, time for Project Firewood Helpers) in the STEP WNC database.
